A building survey involves inspection of all accessible areas of your property, plus research into available papers (e.g.: Plans, project).
Our surveys are executed with the ultimate technology equipment (damp meters, electronic levels, ground meters) to ensure that all the main points are checked. If any problem is identified, we will not leave you alone and we will chase the developer/seller for progress on your behalf, until they stated that the work has been completed. If requested, another inspection of the property can be done to confirm that all the work has been carried out correctly.
If any particular problem is identified, once more we will not leave you alone because we can instruct specialist reports, e.g. structural engineers, CCTV surveys of drain, electricians, etc, upon request.
Our detailed report contains notes of all defects found that are likely to affect enjoyment of the property, though these may not have an effect upon the Value.
A survey on the property is strongly recommended. A Surveyor will inspect the property and prepare a report, eventually showing any defects, which would not be visible to everyone's eyes. It will save you unpleasant surprises at a later stage, and depending on the type of defects stated, if any, you may get a reduction on the price, or you may be in a position to request the vendor to repair them, or insist for additional guarantees to be inserted in the contracts.
JC Construction Survey takes the attitude of a buyer and your problem is our problem.
The benefit of a Building Survey work is that it’s often possible to see that our knowledge and advice has saved the clients time and money.
